The Council of Mortgage Lenders represents around 98% of the UK residential lending industry and the goal of the Council of Mortgage Lenders is to promote a thriving housing and mortgage market environment.
As well as the above, the
Council of Mortgage Lenders help to discuss common issues by providing a forum for lenders and it also represents the mortgage industry to government, regulators and the media.
In addition, the Council of Mortgage Lenders are the central provider of economic (for example, an economic indicators calendar relevant to the housing market is available), statistical (for example, housing and mortgage market statistics can be viewed), legal, research (for example, this consists of Monthly Market Commentaries, Council of Mortgage Lenders forecasts, Repossession Risk Reviews, regular in-depth articles in Housing Finance online, Council of Mortgage Lenders research reports) and other market information.
